Abstract:

The Gabinet de Llengua Catalana (Catalan Language Bureau) of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is working on a program of exercises in Catalan for beginners using the authoring system CALIS. The program, called CATACROC, consists of various modules (noun and verb morphology, vocabulary and reading comprehension) and is designed for use by students teaching themselves as well as for backup on language courses.
