Abstract:
A degree of learner-control is implicit in most current CALL activities; however, research to-date has not investigated students' performance in such environments. This paper reports a first step toward the necessary investigation by documenting students' use of five strategies while they worked on learner-controlled CALL grammar lessons. The results indicated the need for teachers and researchers alike to observe students use of CALL.
